Worldcoin, the biometric identity project co-founded by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, has launched dedicated enrollment centers in six major US cities. The iris-scanning initiative now operates physical locations in Austin, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Nashville, Miami, and San Francisco.

The company’s signature Orb devices, powered by Nvidia technology, will verify identities through iris scans at both standalone locations and partner retail stores including select Razer outlets. This expansion follows international trials that sparked both interest and controversy around the privacy implications of biometric data collection.

While not directly cryptocurrency-related, the project’s growth signals increasing mainstream adoption of blockchain-adjacent technologies. The move comes as digital identity solutions gain traction across Web3 applications.
